New CD is out

All good things come in threes, and therefore once again on Valentine's Day the new CD Sophisticated Lady by Bettina Pohle & Ralf Ruh Trio, was released by Octason Records Ltd. on February 14, 2014 and is now available commercially, through the internet and via the label.
Of the deepest blue is the blues "Things ain't what they used to be", when Bettina Pohle sings it with her incomparably deep, warm voice on her new album "Sophisticated Lady" (released on Valentine's Day 2014 by Octason Records Ltd.), accompanied with reliable elegance by the Ralf Ruh Trio (currently nominated for the Swiss Jazz Award). 11 standards including "'S wonderful" or "Just One Of Those Things" , and two original compositions, " Nothin'ever stays the same" and "Let 's go out and have some fun", take the listener on an hour long acoustic journey through some of the classics of American vocal jazz history. In addition, Nashville resident and Johnny Cash - composer Thomas O ' Connell provided the quartet with "My Heart Goes with You", a light-hearted song that rounds off the playlist of the CD beautifully.
"Sophisticated Lady": The name says it all. The band swings cool and relaxed, and the singer proves once again that Germany does have some first-class vocal jazz artists.
